Recently came across this book, Bringing up boys by Dr. J Dobson This book focused on the family, provides a road map to some ideas of shaping the next generation of responsible, God-honoring men. Just reading through the articles, can't help but Wow! innocent as a child, creative & honest are those opinions.
While writing on the book Dr Dobson invites children to write, call and email to him to give their opinions. First, a nine years old sent in a list she had composed abt girls & boys:

Girls are more better than boys

girls chew with their mouths closed.
girls have better hand writing.
girls sing better.
girls can do their hair better.
girls cover their mounths when they sneeze.
girls don't pick their nose.
girls learn faster.
girls are cleaner.
girls sit more politely.
girls have more manners.

After posting the above Dr Dobson received response from both boys & girls was fascinating - and funny.Not everyone was pleased, however, including a rather irritated mother who thought they had insulted her son. She wrote, "would you consider publishing a similar letter entitled 'Boys are more better than girls'? Inorder to balance the scales, Dr Dobson invited boys to send him their written opinions of girls. Here are some items from the many lists that was received:

Why Boys are more better than girls

Boys can sit in front of a scary movie and not close their eyes once.
Boys don't get embarrassed easily.
Boys can go to the bathroom in the woods.
Boys can climb the trees better.
Boys don't worry abt "diet-this' and "diet-that".
Boys are better tractor driver than girls.
Boys are way more cooler.
Boys don't waste their life at the mall.
Boys shave more than girls.
Boys learn to make funny noises with their armpits faster.
Boys don't WINE.
Boys aren't shopacholics.
Boys don't hv to hv 21 pairs of shoes (3 for everyday of the week!!!)
Boys respect everything and everyone including GIRLS!

And for your info. those items on the boys list went up to 47!! Don't you love the spontaneity & creativity of children? ?

Over the weekend, we have invited some friends over to have fellowship. Thanks for making time for this 'Fei lo Ship' possible gals & guys!!!!! Our children always enjoy friends over, they simply look forward to it. For those who are here I believed your kids had a tremendous time too.

Testimony - Swelling Knee Cap

Few days ago, my right knee cap begin to swell (quite scary, not adviseable to display). what is the caused? the 'o leh o leh' cheer that stumble me? Nope, maybe the chlorine content in the swimming pool.
To worsen the condition, there was already a scratch before that, hence caused the skin to tear & broken. I'm not able to sit down without pain. Yesterday, the pain was unbearable, literally limping around but thank God for Youth Day, not because I celebrated but because I don't have to send the children to school!! So both Ig & Jos got to rest at home with me(after jie jie abi's birthday, very tired). At the same time when I sat down with them, the word Sozo(which means health, preservation,well-being, wholeness & prosperity) just pops before me. Though it was a word, it has such a rich meaning to me at that very moment telling me that my Abba Father has my entire well-being taken care of. To cut the story short, I took communion as a key channel of my healing. PTL, I can walk now.
Althought, the swelling is still visible, I know my standing & press on to pray for the swell to completely disappear.

The Twelve Disciples

What an excellent day to join our beloved friends for an enriching outing. The roti place is of course the 1st stop. While the adult makan the children also take their opportunities to ordered their drink - Milo dinosaur??
I must said that the day ended very well. Even the day was sunny, we managed to cool ourself at our friend's swimming pool. PTL!
